Bow

Why it matters

Flexibility and flow come together in this classic.

Bow is not just a pretty shape.
It teaches extension, trust, and the difference between opening and collapsing.

What it is

Bow is a classic AcroYoga flying backbend shape.

Half Bow is the softer variation: one-foot hold, one-side expression, same family. Use it before forcing full Bow.

Incoming

  • Bird
  • Half Bow variation
  • Flashmob Basic Flow

Entry

  • From Bird
  • From one-foot / Half Bow variation
  • From beginner flow route

Exit

  • Back to Bird
  • Back to the previous flow step
  • Controlled dismount

Goes to

  • Bat
  • Back Bird
  • Sidestar, level 2 path
  • Sidestar to Bird, later route

Half Bow note

Half Bow belongs here as a variation, not a full separate doctrine yet.

Small shape first.
Full shape when the line breathes.

What breaks

  • flyer pulls for shape instead of breathing into it
  • base chases depth
  • unclear hand connection
  • exit forgotten because the pose looks nice

Field notes

Pretty backbends are cheap.

Clean exits are expensive.
