Crotch Paper Scissors (CPS)
An unorthodox couch-family washing machine from Lux Seattle Acro: weird, structural, and one of TheAcroGuru's early strange recommendations.
Crotch Paper Scissors (CPS)
Why it matters
CPS is an original by the almighty Lux Seattle Acro.
Unorthodox. Weird. One of the first machines TheAcroGuru recommends when people are ready to stop collecting Instagram shapes and start learning structure.
Why this one?
Guru has reasons.
But fine, here is one: CPS teaches structure.
And it is Lux.
What else do you want?
What it is
Crotch Paper Scissors is a couch-family washing machine.
It starts from Couch logic, shifts through plank-ish shapes, swaps feet, crosses sides, touches whale-ish side-to-side movement, and returns.
It looks like nonsense until you realize the machine is teaching orientation, weight transfer and map memory.
Two versions
There are two useful layers.
1. Community / basic CPS
The known community version.
Good for learning the concept and getting the shape family into the body.
2. Lux original CPS
The godlike original version.
Harder. Stranger. Better. Not Instagram-fluff. This is the one that shows why LuxSeattle Acro is LuxSeattle Acro.

What breaks
- pair treats the name as the technique
- flyer shape changes before base tracks the map
- base foot swap becomes panic walking
- side-to-side pathway loses line
- reset is forgotten
Field notes
Comedy is allowed.
Sloppiness is not.
CPS is the kind of machine that filters posers without being cruel about it.
The ones who ask “why?” get the answer through the body.
